The series unravels a gripping storyline of survival, sisterhood, and superstition. Nirjhar Mitra directs the series and promises to keep viewers hooked with its narrative. Mimi Chakraborty’s Dainee will premiere on March 14 on the OTT platform Hoichoi. The makers are ready to captivate the audience with an intense and thrilling tale of two sisters and their fight against society’s hidden horrors.
Dainee Plot and Cast
Dainee explores the haunting world of superstition and its grip on society. The series centers around two estranged sisters, Pata (played by Mimi Chakraborty) and Lata (played by Koushani Mukhopadhyay), who were never close. Despite their past differences, they stand together for survival. Recently, the makers of Dainee unveiled an intriguing teaser, which sparked excitement among viewers. The clip opens with a shot of Pata lying on the floor, wounded and broken, as she reminisces about her childhood with her sister Lata. Now, she embarks on a mission to protect her sister at all costs. In the teaser, she can be heard saying, “If anyone even dares to raise their eye on Lata, destruction will ensue.”

Dainee tells the tale of survival in a remote village plagued by terrifying beliefs, seemingly based on witch-hunting. Sharing the teaser, Hoichoi wrote, “A remote village, a horrific superstition, and several lives entangled in it. Dainee is a story of survival, of protecting loved ones with one’s own life.” The series is directed by Nirjhar Mitra, who also penned the screenplay along with Nilanjan Chakraborty and Shayak Chakraborty. It stars Mimi Chakraborty, Koushani Mukhopadhyay, and Shruti Das.
