Dalljiet Kaur has criticised her ex-husband, Shalin Bhanot, amid her separation from Nikhil Patel. When a social media user suggested she contact Shalin for support, Dalljit responded, stating that he is likely 'too busy' to care. She added that he hasn't reached out or shown any interest in what might be happening with their son.
Dalljiet and Nikhil married in March 2023, but within eight months, Dalljiet returned to her home. She accused Nikhil of dismissing their marriage as 'not legal' and suggested he may have been involved in an extramarital affair. Amidst these issues, a fan recommended she reconcile with her first husband, Shalin Bhanot. Surprisingly, Shalin has neither reached out to Dalljiet nor to their child. "He has not reached messaged or reached out. I don’t think he is interested to know what must have happened with his son. He must be too busy," she wrote.
Dalljiet Kaur was previously married to Shalin, whom she met while working on the show Kulvaddhu and got married in 2009. However, their relationship ended in 2015 when Dalljiet accused Shalin of domestic violence. They have a son, Jaydon, who now lives with Dalljiet.
Dalljiet Kaur and Nikhil Patel divorce
Dalljiet and Nikhil married in March 2023 but filed for divorce just ten months later. He publicly confirmed their separation in May, explaining that Dalljiet's decision to return to India with their son Jaydon in January led to their split. He noted that their blended family’s foundation was not as strong as anticipated, which made it challenging for Dalljiet to settle in Kenya. Although their Mumbai wedding in March had cultural significance, it was not legally binding and was meant to reassure Dalljiet’s family about her move.

Following their separation, both have made various accusations against each other. Last week, Dalljiet took to Instagram to accuse Nikhil of infidelity, expressing disillusionment with the concepts of faith, loyalty, and commitment in their relationship. She claimed that while she was being told they would work things out, Nikhil was already preparing to move on. Additionally, Dalljiet recently filed an FIR against Nikhil Patel at Mumbai’s Agripada police station. The complaint, lodged under sections 85 and 316(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, accuses Nikhil of cruelty and criminal breach of trust.
