Darshan Case Update: The Bengaluru Police charge sheet has unveiled that Renuka Swamy, the victim, sent Pavithra Gowda a series of inappropriate messages requesting a secret live-in relationship. The extensive 3,991-page charge sheet, filed in the high-profile fan murder case involving Kannada superstar Darshan and Pavithra Gowda, details these disturbing communications. It also notes that Pavithra, overwhelmed by Renuka Swamy's explicit messages and photos, enlisted the help of another accused, Pavan, to handle the situation.
Among the messages disclosed are, "You are hot. Hi, please send your number. What would you like to see? Should I send it? Wow, super beauty. Will you be in a secret live-in relationship with me? I’ll give you Rs 10,000 every month."
To locate Renuka Swamy, Pavan pretended to be Pavithra Gowda in their conversations. He engaged with Renuka Swamy casually to uncover his location and requested photos of him outside the pharmacy where he worked. The police have collected 65 photos related to Renuka Swamy's murder. Meanwhile, Darshan’s legal team is preparing to file a bail plea now that the charge sheet has been submitted. The police, however, remain cautious about securing reliable witnesses and eyewitnesses for the case.
The watchman of the shed where Renuka Swamy was murdered is a key witness in the case. He observed the entire incident, including Renuka Swamy's arrival at the shed and the activities of those involved, including Darshan and his partner Pavithra Gowda. His statement is crucial for the investigation.
Additionally, two workers at the shed have provided testimonies about the brutal treatment and murder of Renuka Swamy. According to sources, the investigation uncovered that Darshan repeatedly kicked Renuka Swamy in the chest, breaking his ribs. He then threw him into a truck, inflicting a severe head injury. Afterward, Darshan, angered by a photo of Renuka Swamy private parts sent to Pavithra Gowda, kicked him in the groin, which led to Renuka Swamy losing consciousness.
Darshan's attack on Renuka Swamy proved fatal, leading to his death. According to IANS, the charge sheet cites forensic reports from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to support this claim. The charge sheet also details the nature of Darshan’s relationship with Pavithra Gowda. Darshan has stated that he was not married to Gowda but was in a live-in relationship, as noted in the charge sheet.
Additionally, the police have obtained photos showing a distressed Darshan at a Mysuru star hotel, speaking with other accused before his arrest. The murder of Renuka Swamy occurred on June 8 in Bengaluru, where he was kidnapped from Chitradurga, transported to Bengaluru, held in a shed, and tortured to death. Following the murder, Renuka's body was discarded in a canal. The discovery of the body came when security personnel at a private apartment building saw it being dragged by dogs.
