The makers of the Telugu comedy thriller film Das Ka Dhamki have locked its OTT release date. The film stars Vishwak Sen, Nivetha Pethuraj, Rao Ramesh, Rohini, Akshara Gowda, Hyper Aadhi, Mahesh Achanta, and Tharun Bhascker and is directed by Vishwak Sen.
The plot of Das Ka Dhamki revolves around Vishwak Sen’s Krishna Das who is a waiter by profession and falls for Nivetha Pethuraj’s Keerthi. Meanwhile, his look alike, Dr. Sanjay Rudra dies in an accident the night before Das loses his job and love. He is then replaced with Sanjay to save the company. What happens next forms the rest of the story of this Telugu film.
Upon its theatrical release on March 22, 2023, the film opened to mixed reviews. Das Ka Dhamki was a success at the box-office.
Das Ka Dhamki will be making its digital streaming debut this week. The film will be released on OTT platform AHA video and will start streaming from April 14, 2023.
Speaking about the film, Vishwak Sen reflected upon returning to direction after years and said “Das Ka Dhamki is an entertaining film and I am returning to direction five years after Falaknuma Das. I could’ve acted in three films in that time but I have no regrets. I have put all my money into this project.”
“While you’ll enjoy the first hour with the humour, romance and the songs, you’ll return to your homes with a heavy heart after the second half,” Vishwak Sen added.
Vishwak Sen called JR NTR, who was present at the pre-release event od Das Ka Dhamki, the best actor in the country and added, “If someone asks me who’s the best actor in the country, I would name Jr NTR. When they were talking of coming up with a label for his AV in this event - I asked them to call it ‘Mass-amma mogudu’ (father of the masses).”
