Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasma, popularly known as TMKOC, made its debut in July 2008 and has been a phenomenal success on television. The show has garnered a massive fan base across all age groups, thanks to its captivating plot and stellar performances by the talented cast. It gained such widespread popularity that each character became a household name, and the show consistently dominated the TRP charts, ensuring its financial success. Disha Vakani, the actress who portrayed Dayaben, bid farewell to the show six years ago, leaving fans eagerly awaiting her return. The audience has anxiously anticipated her comeback. Fortunately, it appears that the wait is finally over.

In the recent episode, the show unveiled the much-awaited date of Dayaben's comeback. Jethalal, eager to know when Daya would return from Ahmedabad, persistently questioned Sundarlal, who attempted to evade the question. However, Sundar eventually revealed Dayaben's return date on the program, stating that she would make her comeback this Diwali. The news was met with a lot of happiness, as not only Jethalal but also all the residents of Gokuldham rejoiced upon hearing this announcement in the episode.

For the uninitiated, Disha Vakani played Dayaben's character till 2017. However, she took a maternity leave from the show and has not returned since. Her return to the show has been anxiously anticipated by her fans and followers.
 
In recent news, the show has garnered attention for negative reasons. Notably, prominent actors have been exiting the show, each citing different reasons, either related to personal matters or due to conflicts with the producer, Asit Kumar Modi. Recently, both Shailesh Lodha and Jennifer Mistry made the decision to leave the show. Their departure stemmed from long-standing issues of unpaid dues and perceived unfair treatment by the producer. Jennifer Mistry further raised allegations of harassment against Asit Modi.
