On the professional front, Deepika Padukone is currently gearing up for the release of Kalki 2898 AD. Kalki 2898 AD was originally set to hit theaters on May 9, 2024. However, its release was delayed because of the 2024 Indian general election. The film is now rescheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 27, 2024, and will be available in IMAX as well as other formats.
Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, is reported to have an astounding production budget of Rs 600 crores. This makes it not only one of the most costly Indian films ever made but also sees it surpassing the production budgets of other major blockbusters starring Prabhas, including ‘Salaar: Part 1’ and both movies from the ‘Baahubali’ series.
