After months of speculation, Bollywood's power couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, confirmed their pregnancy earlier this year. The duo, who tied the knot in 2018, shared the joyful news in February, announcing that their baby is due in September 2024. The announcement was met with an outpouring of love and support from their industry peers, including Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, among others.

According to News18, Deepika is expected to deliver her baby on September 28 at a hospital in South Bombay. The actress, who was last seen in the much-anticipated film Kalki 2898 AD, has been enjoying her maternity break and has been setting some chic maternity fashion goals during her public appearances.

Coincidentally, Deepika Padukone's baby is due on September 28, which is also the birthday of her ex-boyfriend, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir is now married to Alia Bhatt, and they have a daughter named Raha, born on November 6, 2022.

As the couple eagerly prepares for their new chapter, rumours of them welcoming a baby boy have also surfaced. These speculations gained traction after a gifting brand posted a photo of presents ordered by Deepika, which featured minimalist brown paper boxes tied with light blue strings and decorated with ceramic hangings in shades of blue and white.

Deepika Padukone has planned to dedicate the next few months to her newborn, with her maternity leave expected to last until March 2025. Once she resumes work, her first project will reportedly be the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, where she will reunite with co-stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Prabhas. The film is scheduled to start filming in early 2025. Additionally, Deepika is also set to begin work on The Intern, where she will star alongside Amitabh Bachchan.

In an interview with Vogue Singapore earlier this year, Deepika expressed her excitement about embracing parenthood. She shared, "Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family… My family keeps me grounded, and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children."
