Bollywood couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced their pregnancy on Thursday. The duo, who tied the knot in 2018, is anticipating the arrival of their first baby in September 2024. Taking to their Instagram handle, DeepVeer shared the news with an adorable image, along with baby-related emojis. The post had no caption but a series of emoticons. 

Following the post, fans and friends quickly flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages for the couple. Vikrant Massey exclaimed, "OMGGGGGGG!!!! Bahut bahut shubhkamnaen aap dono ko!!!" Kriti Sanon also chimed in, saying, "Omg!!!! Congratulations you two!!!" Additionally, Manish Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Neena Gupta, Sonam Kapoor, and Bhumi Pednekar were among those who extended their well-wishes to Deepika and Ranveer.

The announcement comes weeks of speculation regarding Deepika's pregnancy fueled by her appearance at the recent BAFTAs. She deliberately covered her midriff while donning a dazzling saree on the red carpet at the 77th British Academy Film Awards. Deepika was elegantly attired in a couture saree and bespoke jewelry crafted by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Earlier, in an interview with Vogue, Deepika revealed about starting a family with Ranveer, expressing, "Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family."

For the unversed, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the knot in 2018 following a courtship of several years.

On the professional front, Deepika's was recently seen in the aerial action thriller 'Fighter,' co-starring Hrithik Roshan. She is slated to appear in the sci-fi action thriller 'Kalki 2898 AD' alongside Prabhas, set for release on May 9, 2024. Meanwhile, Ranveer is set to reprise his role as Simmba in Rohit Shetty's cop drama 'Singham Again,' where he will be joined by Deepika, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor. Additionally, Ranveer is set to lead Farhan Akhtar's 'Don 3,' anticipated to hit theaters in 2025.
