Delayed OTT Releases May 2024: OTT platforms have become extremely popular due to the vast array of content they offer, including movies and web series that are available for streaming. Despite this success, not all movies manage to secure agreements with these platforms immediately, which can lead to delays in their availability on OTT services.
This month, in May 2024, however, several films and series including ‘Manjummel Boys’ and ‘Panchayat 3’ among others, are set to make their debut across various streaming platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+Hotstar.
Delayed OTT Movies & Web Series To Release In May 2024
Manjummel Boys (May 5)- Disney+Hotstar)
‘Manjummel Boys’ is a 2024 Malayalam survival thriller film directed by Chidambaram and produced by Parava Films. Featuring actors like Soubin Shahir and Sreenath Bhasi, the movie is based on a real 2006 incident. It tells the story of friends from Manjummel, near Kochi, who go on a vacation to Kodaikanal.
Panchayat 3 (May 2024)- Prime Video
The third season of the TVF series was set to launch on January 15, 2024, but unfortunately, it was delayed. Following this initial postponement, there was an attempt to schedule the release for March 2024.
Now, on Thursday, Amazon Prime Video took to its Instagram handle and wrote, “You moved the laukis, we unlocked your reward! #PanchayatOnPrime S3, May 28.” So, Panchayat 3 will arrive on Prime Video on May 28, 2024.
Mirzapur 3 (May 2024)- Prime Video
Amazon Prime Video has been building anticipation among fans by dropping hints about the release of ‘Mirzapur 3’, yet it hasn't officially set a release date for the upcoming season. While the streaming platform continues to tease its audience with snippets and promotional content, there has been no confirmation on when exactly ‘Mirzapur’ season 3 will be available for viewing. Meanwhile, rumors circulating on the internet suggest that the series might be released following the conclusion of the IPL 2024, adding to the speculation and excitement among eager viewers.
Zwigato (May 3- 10)- Netflix
Recent updates indicate that Netflix has secured the digital rights to the film ‘Zwigato’. Reports suggest that this movie is scheduled to make its debut on the streaming platform in May. The exact date for when it will become available for streaming is still under discussion, but it's anticipated to be around either May 3rd or May 10th.
Shaitaan (May 3)- Netflix
The plot centers on a family whose peaceful existence is shattered when their eldest daughter becomes the victim of a black magic spell, cast by an unknown individual. The family members are thrust into a desperate situation as they strive to reverse the effects of the possession and delve into uncovering the reasons behind the stranger’s malevolent actions. Their journey involves confronting supernatural forces and unraveling the mystery surrounding the stranger's intent.
