Delayed OTT Movies Set To Release In October 2024: This month promises to be an unforgettable one for OTT enthusiasts, as a slew of highly anticipated movies, previously delayed, are finally set to arrive on popular streaming platforms. The lineup is packed with thrilling releases, including the intensely awaited Tamil thriller Thangalaan and Mari Selvaraj's critically acclaimed Vaazhai, among others. Audiences can look forward to indulging in these cinematic gems on leading OTT platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema, and more. 

Delayed OTT Movies Set To Release In October 2024

Thangalaan

Thangalaan, starring Chiyaan Vikram and Malavika Mohanan, has been delayed on OTT. The Tamil movie which was set to release on Netflix on September 20, failed to make its much-awaited OTT debut. Fans were left disappointed as they couldn’t find Thangalaan on OTT on the scheduled date. The movie is now expected to stream on Netflix from October 2024.

Vaazhai

Mari Selvaraj's critically acclaimed film, Vaazhai, is poised to expand its reach with its highly anticipated digital debut on Disney+Hotstar, slated for October 11, 2024. Initially scheduled for release on September 27, the OTT premiere was strategically delayed to capitalise on the film's remarkable box office success. Since its theatrical release on August 23, Vaazhai has garnered widespread acclaim for its authentic and poignant portrayal of rural life and pressing social issues.

This thought-provoking cinematic experience will now be accessible to a broader audience, with Disney+ Hotstar offering the film in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi, in addition to its original Tamil version.

Agent

Akhil Akkineni's 2023 Telugu blockbuster, Agent, is still awaited on OTT platforms, leaving fans eagerly anticipating its digital release. Despite Sony LIV acquiring the digital rights, the movie's streaming debut remains pending. However, speculation suggests that Agent will finally arrive on Sony LIV in October 2024, bringing relief to fans who have been patiently waiting to stream the film online.
