International Film Festival Of Delhi: India’s capital city, Delhi, is all set to host the first-ever International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) in March. The event will take place from March 25 to March 31, 2026. The IFFD was inaugurated by Delhi’s Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra. The event is expected to be a huge success, with the presence of more than 100 countries.

The inauguration ceremony of the International Film Festival of Delhi was attended by some popular personalities from the Bollywood film industry. Some of the actors who attended the event include Arjun Kapoor, Divya Dutta, and Nimrat Kaur. Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and actor Manoj Joshi also attended the launch ceremony.
CM Rekha Gupta Shares Her Film Memory
During the event, Rekha Gupta, the Chief Minister of Delhi, spoke about her love for cinema. She remembered the shooting of the film Sarfarosh at Delhi University’s North Campus in 1996. She said that films have always been an important part of uniting people and spreading culture.

Over 100 Countries To Participate
Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra stated that over 100 countries will be participating in the festival. He said that the review committee has already begun reviewing films submitted from all around the world. The festival will offer a worldwide platform for filmmakers to display their skills and creative stories.

Actress Nimrat Kaur said that Delhi has been instrumental in her acting career in many ways. She further added that film festivals are a great way for Indian stories to reach a global audience.
