New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: One of the iconic actors in the Bollywood, Dharmendra has been around in the film industry for more than five decades. The actor, who is known for his roles in Sholay, Dharam Veer, Yamla Pagla Deewana, among others turned 84-year-old on Sunday. On this occasion, he was greeted his family and friends that included Bobby Deol, grandson Karan Deol and wife Hema Malini. His daughter Esha Deol was the first to wish him on birthday. The actress shared multiple posts for his dearest daddy on his birthday. In an Instagram post, she wrote, “Happy birthday papa. love u! Stay blessed, happy & healthy always. @aapkadharam.”

Dharmendra's wife Hema Malini aka Dream Girl also wished for his good health and shared a throwback picture from their early days. "On Dharamji’s birthday, I pray for his happiness & good health. God bless him always Nostalgia time! One of our early fotos together," she captioned.
Grandson Karan Deol, who recently made his acting debut with 'Pal Pal Dil Ke Pass' shared a lovely picture with Dharamji.

Son Bobby Deol also shared a throwback picture of his childhood and wrote, "Man with the golden heart!! A very happy birthday papa."
Dharmendra has featured in nearly 300 films and the latest is Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se. In 1997, he received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Hindi cinema and received Padma Bhushan-- India's third-highest civilian honour-- in 2012.
Nowadays, he leads a simple and quiet life, spending a lot of his time on his farm in the outskirts of Mumbai. He constantly shares throwback pictures and videos on social media.
