Devara Part 2 Big Update: The highly anticipated film Devara, helmed by renowned director Koratala Siva, hit the theatres on September 27, featuring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor in leading roles. Despite its impressive opening day box office collection of Rs 140 crore worldwide, the film has faced widespread criticism and backlash for its writing. Devara's opening day earnings trail only behind Kalki 2898 AD, which raked in Rs 191.5 crore globally. Recently, director Koratala Siva opened up about making Devara in two parts. Here is what he said:

Devara Part 2 Update

Koratala Siva explained that Devara began as a solo project, but the team reassessed their approach after the second schedule. Recognizing the story's scope and potential, they opted to divide it into two parts, ensuring a more comprehensive and engaging storytelling experience. He said, “When I narrated the story to Jr NTR, it was a 4 hours-long story and when I penned it became 7 hours. It was then we took a call on making it in two instalments.”

Uncertainty surrounds the release of Devara 2, despite significant progress already made on the project. Notably, two pivotal episodes from the second instalment have been successfully filmed. However, the fate of the movie now hangs in the balance, contingent upon the availability of its lead actor, Jr NTR.

In a recent interview, director Koratala Siva shed light on the status of Devara 2, emphasising Jr NTR's schedule as the decisive factor. "We've already shot 25 minutes of crucial footage for Devara part 2," Siva revealed. He further expressed confidence in completing the project within a relatively short time frame of 6-8 months, provided Jr NTR's schedule aligns.
