TV actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee recently took to social media to share the heartbreaking news of the murder of her friend in the United States. In a post, she revealed that her friend, Amarnath Ghosh, was brutally killed in his neighbourhood. Shockingly, Amarnath was a single child, and his parents were no more, leaving few friends to seek justice for him.
Describing Amarnath, Devoleena mentioned that he was a talented dancer who had gone to the US to pursue higher studies, specifically a Ph.D. Like many other Indian students, he was working hard to achieve his dreams and contribute to society.
This tragic incident adds to a string of attacks against Indians in the US, raising concerns within the Indian community. Devoleena Bhattacharjee has been vocal about social issues and has previously faced criticism for her outspoken views. Despite the trolls, she continues to use her platform to highlight important matters and advocate for justice. In her post, Devoleena appealed to the Government of India, the US Embassy, and other relevant authorities to step in and ensure that justice is served for her friend. She tagged the Indian Embassy in the US and External Affairs Minister of India, Dr S Jaishankar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging them to take action.
