Dhanashree Verma, wife of Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, has responded to recent rumours about trouble in their marriage. In a heartfelt Instagram story, she dismissed the speculation as baseless and expressed her disappointment over the character assassination she has faced.
Sharing her thoughts, Dhanashree revealed that the past few days have been emotionally challenging for her and her family. She emphasized that the false narratives circulating online have caused unnecessary distress.
Her statement read, “The past few days have been incredibly tough for my family and me. What’s truly upsetting is the baseless writing, devoid of fact-checking, and the character assassination of my reputation by faceless trolls spreading hate. I’ve worked hard for years to build my name and integrity. My silence is not a sign of weakness; but of strength. While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others. I choose to focus on my truth and move forward, holding onto my values. The truth stands tall without the need for justification. Om Namah Shivaay.”

The rumours began when fans noticed that Yuzvendra and Dhanashree had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Additionally, Yuzvendra removed all photos of Dhanashree from his account, fueling speculation of a split. However, Dhanashree still has a few pictures of him on her profile.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma tied the knot on December 22, 2020, in an intimate ceremony in Gurugram. Their love story began earlier that year when Chahal joined Dhanashree’s YouTube dance classes. Their connection blossomed, leading to their engagement and eventual wedding, which was attended by close friends and family.
