Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor’s 2013 romantic drama Raanjhanaa is set to return to the big screen. The film will be re-released in theatres on February 28, as announced by PVR Cinemas.

Sharing the news on Instagram, PVR INOX wrote, “Some love stories deserve an encore! Raanjhanaa is back on the big screen starting Feb 28.” Fans of the film can relive the poignant love story that made a mark with its heartfelt narrative and memorable soundtrack.

Adding to the excitement, a spin-off titled Tere Ishk Mein has been announced. The upcoming film stars Dhanush alongside Kriti Sanon, and its teaser offers a glimpse into a gripping new tale.

The teaser introduces Kriti’s character, Mukti, as she walks past a chaotic mob while carrying an oil container. She then pours the oil on herself and delivers a powerful dialogue, “Tumhe mohabbat hain mujhse mein janti hoon magar ishq mujhko bhi ho yeh zaruri toh nahi…” The clip ends with her lighting a cigarette, exuding intensity and mystery.

Directed by Aanand L. Rai, Raanjhanaa featured Dhanush as Kundan, a small-town boy deeply in love with Zoya, played by Sonam Kapoor. The film also starred Abhay Deol, Swara Bhaskar, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and was widely appreciated for its emotional depth and A.R. Rahman’s soul-stirring music.

Dhanush, who was last seen in Raayan (2024), is currently working on his fourth directorial venture, Idly Kadai. Starring Nithya Menen and Shalini Pandey in key roles, the film is slated for release on April 10.
