Dharmendra and Hema Malini are one of the most loved iconic couples in the Hindi film industry. The pair has given many hits together in movies including Sholay, Seeta Aur Geeta, Alibaba Aur 40 Chor, Dream Girl, and others. Their onscreen romance blossomed into love and turned official when they got married on 2nd May 1980. They have two daughters actress Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. The legendary stars are celebrating their 44th wedding anniversary today. Their elder daughter Esha shared a picture of her parents on the occasion, where Hema Malini can be seen leaning on Dharmendra’s shoulder. Both the mega stars flaunted their infectious smile for the camera.
Taking to her Instagram, Esha wrote “Happy anniversary to my papa & mamma . I adore you , i love you & I just want to hug you.”

After Esha’s post, Hema Malini also shared a fan-made video on her Instagram. She captioned the post, “Our wedding anniversary today! 44 years of togetherness,2 beautiful girls, lovely gchildren surrounding us & drowning us with their love! Dharmendra and Hema Malini met on the sets of 1970 film Tum Haseen Main Jawan. Over the years, their love blossomed and they finally tied the knot in 1980. Dharmendra was earlier married to Prakash Kaur with whom he has four kids Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta Deol, and Ajeita Deol.

On the work front, Dharmendra will be next seen in Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis. The movie stars Varun Dhawan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Agastya Nanda and Aadyanshi Kapoor in pivotal roles. The movie is set against the backdrop of the 1971 war. Ikkis is set to be released in early next year. On the other hand, Hema Malini is busy campaigning for BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. She has been contesting from the Mathura constituency.
