Dhurandhar, which stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt, has become a historic triumph at the box office. The spy thriller became the first Bollywood film to reach the Rs. 1000 crore gross threshold in India after eight full weeks in theatres. On December 5, 2025, the film hit the big screens in Hindi language only.
Dhurandhar earned Rs 2.9 crore net in India over its ninth weekend, with an additional Rs 1.25 crore on Republic Day. Dhurandhar's domestic collection surpassed Rs 1000 crore on January 26, its 53rd day in cinemas. In India, the movie has now made Rs 1002 crore gross (Rs 835 crore net).
Dhurandhar makers trusted the film's content and allowed word-of-mouth and critical acclaim to speak for itself instead of depending on ostentatious promotions. The risk obviously paid off, as audiences flocked to theatres all over the nation, making it one of the highest-grossing Indian films in India.

Dhurandhar Joins Pushpa 2, Baahubali 2, KGF 2
Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar is one of the four films in the elite Rs 1000 crore list. Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule, which made Rs 1,471 crore in India, is at the top of the pack. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, directed by SS Rajamouli and earning Rs 1417 crore in 2017, was surpassed by Pushpa 2. The third movie on the list is Yash's KGF Chapter 2, which made Rs 1001 crore in India and is the highest-grossing Kannada movie ever.

Dhurandhar's accomplishment stands out since the earlier movies on this list were available in other languages. The spy thriller movie demonstrated that a single-language film can reach enormous success with a compelling storyline and strong performances.
The fact that Dhurandhar is the only Indian single-language movie to earn more than Rs. 1000 crore adds to its extraordinary success.
Ranveer Singh plays Hamza, an Indian agent in a high-stakes, two-part operation to infiltrate and destroy terrorist networks in Karachi, Pakistan, in Aditya Dhar's spy thriller Dhurandhar. In order to undermine operations from within, the movie follows Hamza as he wins the trust of Rahman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna), a strong mobster.
Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026, and the film's producers are already getting ready for it. Arjun Rampal will play the antagonist Major Iqbal again in the movie. Dhurandhar will have a digital premiere on Netflix India on January 30, 2026, before the sequel hits the big screens.
