Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh paid tribute to the legendary industrialist Ratan Tata, who passed away on Wednesday. While performing in Germany, Diljit learned of Tata’s death and paused the concert to honour his legacy. In a video shared online, he reflected on the invaluable lessons he learned from the Indian icon, expressing regret over never having met him but acknowledging the significant impact Tata had on his life. The esteemed former chairman of the Tata Group, who was 86 at the time of his passing, was celebrated for transforming the conglomerate into India’s largest and most influential business entity.
In Punjabi, Diljit said, "You all know about Ratan Tata. He has passed away. This is my small tribute to him. Today, I feel it is important to take his name because his life — he has always worked hard. Whatever I have heard and read of him, I have never seen him speak anything wrong about anyone."
"He has always worked hard in his life, did good work, was helpful. This is life, this is how one should be. If there is one thing we can learn from his life, it is that we should work hard, think positive, be helpful and live life to its fullest," he added.

Ratan Tata passed away on the night of October 9. He had been hospitalised at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital since Monday due to a sudden drop in blood pressure and was in critical condition in the ICU. The announcement of his death came late Wednesday night.
Renowned for his visionary leadership and philanthropic efforts, Ratan Tata was a cherished figure in India. He is best known for transforming the Tata Group during his tenure as chairman from 1991 to 2012, overseeing the acquisition of prestigious global brands such as Jaguar Land Rover, Corus Steel, and Tetley Tea, which elevated Tata Group's presence on the international stage.

Following the news of his passing, several stars expressed their fond memories of him. Bollywood actors such as Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, Rohit Shetty, Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Randeep Hooda and Varun Dhawan paid tribute.
