Tamil actress Divyabharathi recently issued a statement on Instagram to clarify the rumours about her relationship with her co-star GV Prakash Kumar. Last year, the musician parted ways with singer Saindhavi after a decade of marriage. Since the separation, there have been speculations that Divyabharathi was the reason behind the split of GV Prakash and Saindhavi. Divyabharathi has now issued an official statement on her Instagram stories and stated that she has no connection to Prakash’s family issues.
The actress further stated that due to the rumours, it tarnished her image. She asked fans and media to respect her boundaries. The Kingston actress said that it is the first and final statement on the matter.
Divyabharathi wrote, “My name has been dragged into a personal family matter that has absolutely nothing to do with me. I have no connection to GV's family issues. To be blunt, I would never date an actor, and certainly not a married man. I've remained silent until now, believing baseless rumours didn't warrant my attention. However, this has crossed a line. I refuse to let my reputation be tarnished by unfounded allegations.”
“I am a strong, independent woman, and I will not be defined by gossip. Let's focus on building a better world, instead of spreading negativity. Respect my boundaries. This is my first and final statement on this matter,” she concluded.

GV Prakash Kumar and Divyabharathi acted in both movies like Bachelor (2021) and Kingston (2025). Divyabharathi’s Kingston was released in theatres on March 7, 2025. The film also starred Sabumon Abdusamad, Elango Kumaravel and Chetan in key roles. Divyabharathi has also worked in several movies such as Maharaja and Mupparimanam. She is set to make her Telugu debut with the movie GOAT alongside Sudigali Sudheer. The release date has not been announced yet.
