The excitement among fans doubled after it was announced that B-town star Kiara Advani will play the female lead in Don 3. Earlier, Ranveer Singh was roped in to play the titular role in the much-awaited movie. The actor has taken over the role previously portrayed by Bollywood's iconic superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Now, if the reports are to be believed, Don 3 is being made at a whopping budget of Rs 275 crore.
Don 3 Budget Revealed
According to Bollywood Hungama, a source revealed, “Don 1 and Don 2 with Shah Rukh Khan were made on decent budgets, but with 'Don 3', Farhan Akhtar aims to make a global film. The vision with Don 3 is not just to compete with action films of India, but also to go global on the scale front. 'Don 3' is Farhan’s attempt to make a global action thriller and no one better than Ranveer Singh to spearhead the franchise in the new era.”

“The action has been visualized in a way that Don 3 stands tall against the Spy Universe. However, what separates Don 3 from other action films of India is the protagonist, who has shades of negative elements,” the source further added.
After SRK was replaced by Ranveer Singh in Don 3, Farhan Akhtar opened up about it in an interview with BBC Asian Network. He said, “I’m just really looking forward to get it going. I mean Ranveer is amazing. He’s great for the part. He’s also as you can imagine, really excited and really nervous, about the thing you’re filling some big shoes before you. But we went through the same emotional process when Shah Rukh did it and everyone was like ‘Oh my God, how can you replace Mr. Bachchan?.’ That whole thing happened then.”
Earlier, the teaser of Don 3 was also shared by Akhtar. Sharing the same, he wrote on Instagram, “Sher jo so raha hain woh jagega kab, puchte hai yeh sab. Unse keh do phir jaag utha hoon main, aur phir samne jald aane ko…”
