Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Dream Girl 2’ is set for its theatrical release this week. The sequel of the 2019 hit film, ‘Dream Girl 2’ features Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in the lead roles. The film is backed up by Shobha and Ekta Kapoor under their Balaji Motion Pictures banner. 'Dream Girl 2's buzz has been amplified by its engaging songs and trailer, released ahead of its release.

The marketing team of ‘Dream Girl 2’ has opted for a distinctive promotional strategy. Ayushmann Khurrana’s character, Pooja, can be seen interacting with popular Bollywood characters like Pathaan, Ranveer Singh’s Rocky character, and now with veteran actor Jeetendra.

In a playful conversation, Jeetendra was seen teasing Pooja on call, leaving the audience in stitches. The clip starts with Jeetendra secretly dialing Pooja’s number. Upon answering the call she utters, "Oh my god, paye lagu uncle.” Jeetendra then says, “Uncle nahi! Call me Jeetu, you can call me Jeets also.”

Next, Pooja responds, “Aapka naam lene mein darr lagta hai.” Jeetendra then says, “Darr ke aage jeet hai, aur jeet ke aage Jeetendra.” He queries about her arrival and Pooja playfully replies, “Aapke toh ghar ki baat hai, ghar par puch lijiye.” The star then counters, “Ghar me 'Ekta' nahi hai, mera matlab bahar gayi hai, aur waise tumhare hote hue 'Shobha' nahi deta ki mai kisi aur se puchu, tum hi bata do na.”

Ekta Kapoor also shared the video of the same on her Instagram and revealed that the bookings for the film have started. She wrote, “Pooja ka mahurat toh 25 ka hai, lekin bookings toh ab bhi ho sakti haina!,” while Ayushmann said, “Tathaiyya tathaiyya ho... #DreamGirl2 ki Booking kar lo...!”

Talking about the film, ‘Dream Girl 2’ is directed by Raaj Shaandilya and also stars Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Annu Kapoor, and Manjot Singh, among others in pivotal roles.
