Dunki Box Office Collection Worldwide: Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani's collaboration kicked off strongly at the domestic box office, accumulating nearly Rs 30 crore on its opening day. However, the film experienced a decline in collections on the following day. However, the film performed phenomenal at the global level, garnering over Rs 100 crore within two days of its release, according to film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan.

Following the tremendous success of Shah Rukh Khan action-packed movies 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan,' the Bollywood Badshah returned with 'Dunki.' On its second day, the film amassed a global gross of Rs 45.1 crore. Notably, the film had earlier grossed Rs 57.43 crore on Thursday, resulting in a remarkable two-day global gross of Rs 102.53 crore.

Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan took to X and wrote, "#Dunki WW Box Office... #ShahRukhKhan starrer witnesses drop on the second day. Day 1 - ₹ 57.43 cr Day 2 - ₹ 45.10 cr Total - ₹ 102.53 cr." Also starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani, the film is helmed by director Rajkumar Hirani.

The filmmaker said he was captivated by Shah Rukh Khan's charm, revealing a sense of admiration for his persona. "I remember studying in a film school and the real struggle for any filmmaker was how we would make our first film. Will we get a producer? Will any actor come on board? So we had a common room where all the students would watch television together. I recall watching this series called Circus and I vividly remember the scene including the camera angle where one actor was performing and delivering a monologue," Rajkumar Hirani told News 18.

"I didn’t know who he was but I loved his performance. I told myself once I passed out from school, I would approach him and make a film. It took me two years to graduate from the film institute and by that time, Shah Rukh Khan had become a huge star (laughs). So, I had to wait for 20 years to collaborate with him on a film," he added.

Centered around the theme of illegal immigration, the comedy-drama sheds light on individuals risking their lives to migrate abroad.
