Dunki On OTT: Shah Rukh Khan is here with a good news! The Bollywood superstar hinted at a significant surprise, sparking speculation among fans about a potential OTT release for 'Dunki'. It appears that their anticipation was justified, as the Rajkumar Hirani-directed film is indeed set to premiere on Netflix. The streaming platform announced the availability of 'Dunki' through an official post on Instagram, inviting viewers to embark on a journey with Shah Rukh Khan. The caption on the poster read, "Pack your bags! After a Dunki around the world, @iamsrk is coming home. Dunki, now streaming on Netflix!"

Earlier, a video surfaced on Netflix's official handle featuring Shah Rukh Khan, hinting at a forthcoming announcement. In the video, he expressed, "Today, on February 14, I, your eternal Valentine, am here to tell you that something very special is going to happen on Netflix. See you soon."
Starring Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Grover, and Vikram Kochar in pivotal roles, 'Dunki' is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and initially hit theaters on December 21, where it enjoyed box office success. Dunki received a range of critiques from reviewers, with some lauding its merits while others held more mixed opinions.
Despite this, the film's commercial performance was undeniably strong. It amassed an impressive Rs 436.39 crore (equivalent to US$55 million) in global box office earnings, surpassing its production and marketing costs of Rs 120 crore (US$15 million). This financial triumph positioned Shah Rukh Khan starrer as the sixth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023, the ninth highest-grossing Indian film of the same year, and an impressive 27th in the all-time list of highest-grossing Indian films.
Under the direction and editing expertise of Rajkumar Hirani, the film witnessed collaborative efforts on the screenplay from Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Jio Studios, and Rajkumar Hirani Films, these esteemed banners played pivotal roles in bringing the movie to life. Pritam lent his musical talents to compose the music, while Aman Pant was responsible for the background score. Cinematography duties were shared among C. K. Muraleedharan, Manush Nandan, and Amit Roy, with director Rajkumar Hirani overseeing the editing process as well.
