Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki made its much-awaited theatrical debut today, December 21, 2023, elevating fan excitement to unprecedented levels. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the movie also stars Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles. Furthermore, on the film's release day, Shaan clarified the exclusion of his duet with Shreya Ghoshal, 'Durr Kahi Durr,' from the movie, citing that the track was removed during the final editing phase.

Taking to Platform X, Shaan wrote, "Good Morning !!! Aaj #Dunki Day hai … im super excited!! CAN’T WAIT TO SEE IT !! I’m sure Everyone is Going to love the Movie !!! I just want to clear the air about why my song was not part of the film .. the song, a beautiful breezy duet ( with @shreyaghoshal) “Durr kahi Durr” was recorded and also picturised in Kashmir .. but on the edit table .. it was #RajuHirani ‘s call to drop the song .. (after a lot of contemplation.. ) He was very transparent about it with me.. and I really appreciate that.. and I fully understand that the Film is top priority. Hopefully You will get to hear the Song in His Future Project .. but not in #Dunki." 

As soon as he shared the post, fans flocked to the comment section to react to it. One user wrote, "I am sad as it looks like a good song was taken away from us but hope we will really get to hear it someday or even if they just release the audio that would be enough." Another user commented, "Hope we get to witness the deleted song someday." 

Speaking of 'Dunki', the film features an ensemble cast, starring Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover, along with Shah Rukh Khan.
