An enchanting moment from Bollywood’s past has resurfaced online, showing a rare and emotional bond between superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his close friend, choreographer-director Farah Khan. The decade-old video is from Farah Khan’s wedding in December 2004 and captures the King actor taking part in the traditional ‘kanyadaan’ ritual, where the bride is given away in marriage.

Farah Khan married filmmaker Shirish Kunder in a celebration that reflected their different cultural backgrounds. The couple had both a traditional Hindu ceremony and a Nikaah. For the Hindu wedding, Farah wore a classic Kanjeevaram saree, while for the Nikaah, she chose a blue-and-silver Patiala salwar kameez. The viral clip focuses on the Hindu ceremony, where a young Shah Rukh Khan is seen sitting beside the couple, taking part in the rituals. His wife, Gauri Khan, stood next to him in a shimmery saree as they joined in the Vedic chants.

When the video began circulating on social media, Farah herself was surprised to see it again.

Farah Khan-Shirish Wedding

Farah and Shirish met on the sets of the 2004 film Main Hoon Na, which was Farah Khan’s first film as a director and starred Shah Rukh Khan. Despite their happy marriage, Farah once joked about her first impression of her husband in an interview. She said, "I used to hate him. For six months, I thought he is gay. Now, I am used to him. It’s been 20 years now."
