Eagle Box Office Collection Day 2: Ravi Teja is back on the big screen with his upcoming action movie 'Eagle'. The plot focuses on a journalist, who is trying to uncover the story of a ruthless assassin and finds out some deeper secrets covered up by the government. The movie was supposed to release on Sankranti 2024 but the makers decided to release it on February 9, 2024. 'Eagle' had a decent start at the box office but witnessed a drop in numbers on the second day.
Eagle Box Office Collection Day 2:
According to the website Sacnilk, 'Eagle' collected Rs 4.75 crore on day 2 as per early estimates. The movie collected Rs 6.2 crore on day 1 and its total box office collection now stands at Rs 10.95 crore approximately.
Earlier, while talking about postponing the release date of 'Eagle', producer Dil Raju said, "We conducted a meeting with producers of Sankranthi releases a few days back. We explained them the ground reality and how the release of five films could affect the revenues. People Media Factory and Ravi Teja Garu understood this, and they agreed to move to a later date.”
He added, "We will allocate a solo release for Eagle. The movie will now release on 9th February. Already, we spoke to the Tillu Square team as that film is also slated for 9th February release. Naga Vamsi agreed to postpone their film. We will soon have a discussion with the Yatra 2 producer to facilitate a solo release for Ravi Teja’s film. I request the media to not project this issue in a bad way. What we have done now is for the benefit of TFI.”
On the work front, Ravi Teja was last seen in 'Tiger Nageswara Rao', which is streaming on Prime Video. The movie also stars Anupam Kher, Nupur Sanon, Renu Desai, Jisshu Sengupta, Gayatri Bhardwaj and Murali Sharma.
In an interview with India Herald, Ravi Teja talked about 'Tiger Nageswara Rao' being a pan-India film. He said, "I have a different perspective on films from all throughout India. It is not necessary for this to be the major release. Without any regional restrictions, the story should be appealing to a national audience. Tiger Nageshwara Rao could succeed as a pan-Indian movie. The content is what counts, not the price tag or the scale of things."
"Normally, I don't like to say much about my films. I want more dialogue in my movies. I firmly believe that a movie's fate is determined by the discussion that follows its release," he added.
Apart from Ravi Teja, 'Eagle' also stars Anupama Parameswaran, Navdeep, Kavya Thapar, Srinivas Avasarala and Madhoo. The actor will next star in 'Mr Bachchan'.
