Bougainvillea

The Malayalam crime action thriller that promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The film stars Jyothirmayi, Kunchacko Boban, and Fahadh Faasil, centering on the seemingly happy couple Royce (Boban) and Reethu (Jyothirmayi), who are raising two children. Their lives take a dark twist when Reethu becomes the prime suspect in the mysterious disappearance of several tourists in Kerala, leading to a gripping exploration of truth and the repercussions of these unsettling events. Directed by Amal Neerad, Bougainvillea marks his second collaboration with Fahadh following the successful action-thriller Varathan.

Wild Robot

Animated adventure that captivates both the imagination and the heart. Based on Peter Brown's bestselling book, the film follows Roz, an intelligent robot who washes ashore on a deserted island after a shipwreck. Left alone to fend for herself, Roz must learn to survive in the wild. As she interacts with the island's animals and becomes the adoptive mother to an orphaned gosling, she discovers that survival goes beyond her programming; it involves building relationships, empathy, and understanding her environment. The film is brought to life with stunning visuals and an exceptional voice cast. Lupita Nyong'o delivers a powerful and tender portrayal of Roz, while Pedro Pascal, Catherine O'Hara, Bill Nighy, and Kit Connor lend their voices to the animal characters that aid her on her journey. Directed by Chris Sanders, an Oscar-nominated filmmaker, viewers can expect a visually captivating and emotionally resonant experience.

The Apprentice

It offers a biographical perspective on one of modern America's most polarising figures—Donald Trump, the 45th president and a key candidate this election year. Directed by Ali Abbasi and penned by Gabriel Sherman, The Apprentice transports viewers to Trump's early days as a real estate mogul in 1970s and 1980s New York, providing insight into the formative experiences that shaped his political ambitions. The film illustrates how Trump built his empire with the assistance of the infamous lawyer Roy Cohn, a controversial figure whose partnership with Trump is pivotal to the narrative.

Starring Sebastian Stan as Donald Trump and Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn, The Apprentice explores the intricacies of Trump’s business ventures, his relentless ambition, and the impact of Cohn’s mentorship on his early career. Maria Bakalova joins the cast in an undisclosed role, enhancing this ambitious project.

Goodrich

Goodrich is a heartwarming comedy that skillfully intertwines humour with the emotional intricacies of family relationships. Starring Michael Keaton and Mila Kunis as a father and daughter, the film follows Andy Goodrich (Keaton), whose life takes an unexpected turn when his wife enters a 90-day rehab program. Suddenly responsible for their young twins, Andy finds himself navigating the chaos of modern parenthood—a role he has never fully accepted. As he struggles with the challenges of single parenting, he reaches out to his estranged daughter Grace (Kunis) from his first marriage, hoping for her support as he tries to become the father she never had. Written and directed by Hallie Meyers-Shyer, the film adopts a light-hearted yet poignant approach to exploring the complexities of family dynamics.

Singham (Re-release)

Before the highly anticipated 2024 Diwali release of Singham Again, fans can take a nostalgic trip back to the original Singham, directed by Rohit Shetty. This 2011 action-packed blockbuster, featuring Ajay Devgn as the fearless cop Bajirao Singham, is returning to theaters this week, offering a chance to relive the excitement that made it a massive success. The story centers on Kamal Kishore Khosla (Anupam Kher), whose land is snatched away by the cunning Kishen Khurana (Boman Irani).
