Filmmaker Vignesh Shivan Talks About Being Known As Nayanthara’s Husband, Says ‘There Is No Jealousy’

Popular South actress Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan have been married for five years and are parents to twin sons. Recently, Vignesh spoke about how Nayanthara’s immense popularity has influenced their relationship. In a candid interview, he shared his honest views on fame, insecurity and how their bond remains strong despite her superstar status.

Vignesh Shivan Talks About Wife Stardom

While promoting his upcoming film Love Insurance Company, Vignesh Shivan spoke about his relationship with Nayanthara and how her fame has not affected their marriage.

In an interview on radio personality Gobinath’s YouTube channel, he said, “There is nothing like that. When we think this way, we cannot move forward in life. In relationships like father-son, siblings or husband and wife, there is no concept of dominance.”

When Nayanthara’s Popularity Helped Vignesh In A Funny Moment

Vignesh also shared a light-hearted, funny incident about how his wife's popularity once helped him. He said that once, while visiting a roadside fruit juice shop, he had no way to pay him. Recognising Vignesh as Nayanthara’s husband, the vendor warmly addressed him as Nayanthara’s husband, letting him leave without paying. Vignesh added, “I called Nayanthara and told her how she saved me.”

Vignesh Shivan Says He Feels Proud To Be Known By Her Name

The filmmaker said he feels happy when people recognise him through his wife’s name. He added that being known as the father of their children also brings him joy.

He said, “Being recognised as my wife’s husband makes me very happy. Similarly, I am also proud of being recognised as the father of my children. There is no jealousy or ego in it. This is all because of our love for each other.”
