Flop Movies Of 2024 That Made Noise On OTT:  There are several movies which could not perform well at the box office but gained popularity when they landed on OTT. These films either got positive or negative responses after their digital debut. Irrespective of the reason behind their popularity, these films managed to trend on the OTT platform. Kanguva (Prime Video)

The story revolves around a tribal warrior’s fierce struggle to save his people from Romanions, a millennium ago. His case then related to a cop's perilous quest in the present. The movie features Suriya Sivakumar, Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Aarash Shah, Karthik Sivakumar and Redin Kingsley in key roles. It was made on a budget of 350 crore but collected Rs 70.02 crore in India. The Tamil film after releasing on Prime Video was criticised for being streamed only in Southern languages and not in Hindi. 


Thangalaan (Netflix)

The story focuses on the lives of mine workers in the Kolar Gold Fields, Karnataka. The movie features Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Daniel Caltagirone, Preeti Karan and Muthu Kumar in significant roles. The Tamil movie was made on a budget of around Rs 100 to 150 crore but collected Rs 45 crore in India. Fans were excited to watch the film on OTT but it has been delayed for several months since September. However, the film finally got released on Netflix this month. Currently, it is trending on Netflix at number 5. 


Martin (Prime Video)

The story revolves around the journey of a man who is on a mission to self-discovery, finding love and fighting for his motherland. The movie stars Dhruva Sarja, Anveshi Jain, Vaibhavi Shandilya, Georgia Andriani and Aarash Shah in key roles. The Kannada film was made on a budget of around Rs 80 crore to 150 crore but collected Rs 21.86 crore in India. For several weeks since its debut on Prime Video, it kept trending in the top 10. 

Merry Christmas (Netflix)

The story focuses on two strangers who met on Christmas Eve. However, the night turned out to be a nightmare for them. The movie features Vijay Sethupathi, Katrina Kaif, Radhika Apte, Luke Kenny and Sanjay Kapoor in pivotal roles. It was made on a budget of Rs 60 crore but collected Rs 19.61 crore in India. After it was released on Netflix, the film was trending on the OTT platform for several weeks. Vijay and Katrina’s performances were highly appreciated by the viewers. 

Khel Khel Mein (Netflix)

The story showcases a fun truth-and-dare game played by a group of friends who reunited after a long time at a wedding. However, the game discloses their hidden truths. The movie features Akshay Kumar, Pragya Jaiswal, Vaani Kapoor, Aditya Seal, Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu and Ammy Virk in significant roles. The Hindi movie was made on a budget of Rs 100 crore but collected Rs 39.29 crore in India. The film gained appreciation after it made its digital debut.
