Gadar 2 London Screening: Sunny Deol is currently savouring the success of his latest movie 'Gadar 2'. However, for the past couple of days, he has been entangled in a controversy surrounding his luxurious Mumbai residence situated in the upscale area of Juhu. A bank notice that emerged this week indicated that his lavish mansion was slated for auction to recoup a loan advanced to the actor, totalling approximately Rs 56 crore.

Subsequently, the bank retracted the notice, citing 'technical reasons.' Amid these developments, Sunny Deol travelled to London to host an exclusive screening of his film 'Gadar 2' at the High Commission of India in the UK.

The box office journey of 'Gadar 2', featuring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, has been extraordinary. Deol arranged a unique screening of the film in London. Addressing a full house at Vue Cinema in Leicester Square on August 21, he emphatically stated, "Hindustan zindabad tha, zindabad hai, aur zindabad rahega" (India was great, is great, and will remain great). This screening was an exclusive occasion organised for the High Commission of India, marking their inaugural presentation of a commercial film.

As reported by India Today, His Excellency Vikram Doraiswami, while addressing the invite-only audience, said, "Only three days ago, on Friday morning, Sunny emailed us and expressed his desire to host a screening for colleagues and members of the community during his London visit. I consulted my colleague Sujit, and we decided to give it a shot."

'Gadar 2' graced one of the prominent theatres in London's Leicester Square, a venue known for hosting red carpet premieres of numerous major films. Deol added a lively touch to his arrival by delivering an energetic dhol performance.

Speaking to ANI about the film, Deol said, "Gadar was a film which we had done two decades back. And that time also, it was a film that connected with the people and people made it a Gadar and it became one of the highest-watched films in our history.

"I was too scared about doing another part of it because that was kind of a complete film and I didn't see how we can go ahead with another film. But during the Covid time the director, Anil Sharma , and the writer Shaktimaan came up with this idea and suddenly it clicked with all of us and we said, okay, let's go develop it."
