'Gadar 2' is all set for its theatrical release. In the film, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel will be reprising their roles as Tara Singh and Sakina respectively. The anticipation surrounding 'Gadar 2' is high, as evident from the film’s advance booking report. The bookings started 10 days ahead of Sunny Deol-starrer’s theatrical release and till Sunday, Gadar 2 sold about 45,000 tickets for day one alone. 

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the aforementioned 45,000 tickets were sold in three national chains- PVR, Inox and Cinepolis. The report also stated that the advance booking ticket sales could go to 2 lakh plus by Thursday night, a day ahead of the film's release. The report also claimed that 'Gadar 2' will take the second biggest opening of the year after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.

According to a report in DNA, the film could see an opening of Rs 25 crore net on day 1. A competition at the box office will be 'OMG 2', starring Akshay Kumar. According to media reports, if 'OMG 2' receives bookings of 50,000, it might debut at around $7 crore.

Directed by Anil Sharma, 'Gadar 2: The Katha Continues' is touted as one of the highly anticipated films of 2023. According to reports, the conflict in 'Gadar 2' takes place during the 1971 India-Pakistan War. Anil Sharma Productions and Zee Studios collaborated to produce the film. It will clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’. The film also stars Anil Saharma’s son Utkarsh Sharma in the lead role.
