About Gadar 2:
In 'Gadar 2,' the story revolves around Tara Singh's courageous journey across the border to save his son, played by Utkarsh Sharma, who is held captive in Pakistan. Set in Lahore during the tumultuous year of 1971, the movie successfully maintains the riveting action scenes of its predecessor while skilfully portraying Tara Singh's unwavering determination to counter those who fuel animosity between India and Pakistan.
A follow-up to the 2001 movie 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,' this film continues the narrative established in the earlier work, which was situated within the context of the 1947 Partition of India. The sequel draws inspiration from the real-life account of Boota Singh, a former soldier in the British army. The poignant love story between Boota Singh and Zainab, a Muslim girl he saved during the upheaval of the partition, forms the foundation of the narrative. The original film starred Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel as the main characters, and featured notable actors such as Amrish Puri and Lillete Dubey.
