'Gadar 2' and 'OMG 2' are one of the most awaited sequels releasing in 2023 and fans have high expectations from both the films due to the success of their first instalment. Both films will be clashing at the box office on August 11 and their advance bookings have already started. 'Gadar 2' and 'OMG 2' have completely different genres but both of them are fiercely competing with each other.

Gadar 2 Advance Bookings:

According to trade analyst-film critic Taran Adarsh, 'Gadar 2' sold over 1 lakh 82 thousand tickets as of 4:30 pm on August 9. As per ticket aggregator BookMyShow, 3 lakh tickets have already been sold for the film in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Jaipur, Patna, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Surat till now. According to The Indian Express, the movie is likely to open with Rs 35 crore.

OMG 2 Advance Booking:

According to The Indian Express, 'OMG 2' has sold over 45,000 tickets on BookMyShow and the movie can open up to Rs 8 to 10 crore. According to Taran Adarsh, the movie sold over 24,000 tickets till 4:30 PM on August 9 in three national chains.

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel will reprise their roles of Tara Singh and Sakeena respectively from the previous instalment in 'Gadar 2'. Utkarsh Sharma will also reprise his role of Jeete, whereas, Simrat Kaur and Manish Wadhwa are the new addition to the film.

'OMG 2' stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam in the lead roles. The movie has received A certificate from the Censor Board. The movie revolves around a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva, Kanti Sharan Mudgal, whose son is blamed for immoral conduct and thrown out of school. He decides to leave the town with his family until he has a divine intervention that steers him towards truth.
