'Gadar 2: The Katha Continues' has been doing wonders at the domestic box office. It stars Sunny Deol as Tara Singh, Ameesha Patel as Sakina, Utkarsh Sharma as Jeete and Simrat Kaur as Muskaan. The film has so far raked in Rs 39 crore on Monday, thereby shattering several records at the box office. Now, at the success part of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel-starrer film, director Anil Sharma shared details about the possible next instalment of 'Gadar 3'.

Anil Sharma On Gadar 3

As quoted by news agency ANI, Anil Sharma talked about 'Gadar 3'. He said, “You'll have to wait for that. Intezar ka fal meetha hota hai (the fruit of patience is sweet), just like this one (Gadar 2). Some thoughts have come to me and Shaktimaan Ji's (writer of Gadar 2) minds. So just wait, everything will happen.” 

Sunny Deol On Gadar 3, Apne 2, Yamla Pagla Deewana 2

Not only Sharma, Sunny Deol also opened up about 'Gadar 3', 'Yamla Pagla Deewana 2' and 'Apne 2'. He said, “I know that everyone is waiting for these movies. Our whole family came together in Yamla Pagla Deewana and people laughed and enjoyed the movie. Everyone's now waiting for the second part but for that, the story is very important. As of now, I don't have the right story for it. I have a story ready for Apne. Let us see when we will start working on it.”

About Gadar 2: Ek Prem Katha 

Directed by Anil Sharma, 'Gadar 2: The Katha Continues' is touted as one of the highly anticipated films of 2023. According to reports, the conflict in 'Gadar 2' takes place during the 1971 India-Pakistan War. Anil Sharma Productions and Zee Studios collaborated to produce the film. 'Gadar 2' released alongside Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’, which is also doing good at the BO.

In 2001, when 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha', starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Amrish Puri in the lead roles, hit the theatres, it set a benchmark in the Indian film industry. The film was released at a time when patriotism was at its pinnacle following the Kargil War.
