Actor Gayatri Joshi and her businessman husband, Vikas Oberoi, have been making headlines following a recent road accident in Italy. Fortunately, the couple is safe and has returned to Mumbai. Tragically, the accident in Sardinia, Italy, resulted in the loss of two Swiss nationals. Vikas, who holds the position of Chairman and Managing Director at Oberoi Realty, was reportedly driving one of the vehicles involved in the fatal crash on Monday and had been under investigation. However, a recent report indicates that there is no prima facie case against Vikas in relation to the car crash in Italy.

According to CNBC-TV18,  the reports suggesting Vikas Oberoi is facing 'road homicide' charges are inaccurate. "No charges have been filed against Vikas Oberoi," the portal said.

As per the Free Press Journal's report, there was a collision involving Gayatri's car and several other vehicles, including a camper van. This incident occurred when multiple high-performance cars, such as a Lamborghini and Ferrari, attempted to overtake the camper van simultaneously. As a result, the camper van overturned on a rural road in Sardinia.

Unfortunately, the Ferrari caught fire, resulting in the unfortunate loss of the couple. They have been identified as Melissa Krautli, 63 years old, and Markus Krautli, 67 years old, both from Switzerland.

Gayatri told the portal, "Vikas and I are in Italy. We met with an accident here (multiple-car collision).. With gods grace, we both are absolutely fine."

The report also stated that the incident occurred amidst the Sardinia Supercar Tour, an event where opulent cars participate in a procession, showcasing their deluxe automobiles as they travel from Teulada to Olbia.
