Actor Gehana Vasistha, who was arrested in a p*rn case related to Raj Kundra in 2021 and got bail later, tied the knot with actor-boyfriend Faizan Ansari on Saturday. The actor featured in shows like "Behenein" and "Gandii Baat". She tied the knot in a nikah ceremony, thereby converting her religion to Islam. According to a report in Hindustan Times, a source close to the actor has said that Gehana and Faizan are madly in love with each other and their relationship is "pure". It further claimed that the actor didn't undergo religious change for marriage purposes but it was "her own personal choice".

Who is Gehana Vasisth, Arrested In P*rnography Case?

Actor Gehana Vasisth was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court in the pornographic case not long after Shilpa Shetty's businessman husband Raj Kundra was freed on bail for the same charges. For the unversed, Kundra was charged with violating pertinent provisions of the Information Technology Act, the Indecent Representation of Women (Prevention Act), and the Indian Penal Code. Kundra was accused of making and disseminating p*rnographic films using the subscriber-supported mobile app "Hotshots."

Soon after the bail, Gehana released a statement in a press conference. According to Times Of India, she said, "Don’t know what kind of joke this was. Everyone knows it was wrong to file a case as you all saw the FIR. Despite this, they pursued the case. But finally, I am thankful to the supreme court for granting me relief. I now have interim bail and will hopefully even get anticipatory bail."

She further noted, "I don’t want to pass any comment on Raj Kundra. I just want to clarify that whatever films we made, were all erotica, bold, but not in the p*rn genre. There was no activity in the films that could be categorised as p*rn. Besides all this, on digital platforms, there is still no sensor. If there is no permission required in the first place, then why file a case and resort to blackmailing the woman to play the victim to avoid becoming an accused."
