Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been making headlines regarding their separation rumours for quite some time now. There were reports that suggested that they might be heading for divorce after 37 years of marital bliss. Amid all the speculations, Govinda has finally reacted to the separation rumours. The actor stated there are only business talks going on at the home as he is in the process of making films. Check out what he said about the recent speculations about his divorce.
When asked about separation rumours with Sunita Ahuja, Govinda told ETimes “These are only business talks going…I am in the process of starting my films.” As per a report by The Mint, Sunita Ahuja's manager, Sadia Solkar told the newspaper, “This is not true.” Meanwhile, Govinda's manager, Shashi Sinha told Hindustan Times, “Sunita ji ne jo recent interviews mein baatein boli hain, yeh unn sab ka nateeja hai. Unhone zyaada bol diya hai. No, they are not involved as of now (while referring to the legal proceedings). I urge everyone to wait for a day or two”.
Earlier, Sunita Ahuja revealed that she and her husband live separately. In an interview with Pinkvilla Hindi Rush, Sunita said “We have two houses, we have a bungalow opposite our apartment. I have my temple and my kids in the flat. We live in the flat whereas he gets late after his meetings. He loves talking so he’ll gather 10 people and sit chatting with them. Whereas me, my son and my daughter live together, but we hardly talk because I feel if you end up wasting your energy by talking too much.”
In another interview with Hindustan Times, Sunita added “Dil par patthar rakhna padta hai kyunki kabhi yahan link up, kabhi wahan. But often he would be working non-stop so time hi nahi tha affair karne ka. (It used to be very difficult for me to deal with the rumours of his linkups and affairs, but because he used to work on several films simultaneously, he barely had any time for an affair.)” Sunita also said that she wasn’t insecure back in the day. She added, “Ab woh (Govinda) kaam nahi kar raha hai, toh mujhe insecurity hai kahi affair na kar le. 60 ke baad log sathiya jaate hain. (However, he has been out of work for the past two years so now I am afraid he might have an affair. People tend to go senile after 60.)”
