After a long wait, Grrr is finally streaming on OTT. Inspired by the remarkable true story of a lion's daring escape from the Thiruvananthapuram Zoo in 2018, the film brings to life a thrilling narrative with its talented cast, including Kunchacko Boban and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Following its release on June 14, 2024, the movie garnered a mixed bag of reviews from critics, with many praising its unique storyline and performances, while others offered more subdued assessments, resulting in a generally positive reception.

The producers of the movie had earlier announced that it would be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, coinciding with its theatrical release, without specifying a exact date. However, they have now revealed that the film will start streaming on the platform from August 20, along with a new trailer. The comedy-drama is now accessible to a wider audience, with options to stream in five different languages - Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

For the unversed, MoJo, a South African lion with an impressive portfolio of appearances in both Hollywood and Bollywood productions, takes center stage in the film. In order to select the perfect lion for the movie, an important process was undertaken, wherein several lions were trained and their performances were carefully captured on video. These videos were then submitted to the film crew for review and approval, ensuring that the chosen lion possessed the necessary charisma and acting prowess to bring the story to life. Ultimately, MoJo was chosen for the starring role, bringing his unique blend of talent and experience to the film.
