HanuMan Finally On OTT: Prasanth Varma's superhero film, starring Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Vinay Rai in pivotal roles, is set to have its third OTT release. Released in theaters on January 12, 2024, the Telugu thriller film HanuMan has made waves by grossing over Rs 350 crore. It has solidified its status as the second highest-grossing Indian film of 2024, the top-grossing Telugu film of the year, and ranks eighth among the highest-grossing Telugu films worldwide. Despite its successful theatrical run, "HanuMan" is now available for streaming on OTT platforms. The movie will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.

On Tuesday, Prasanth announced that HanuMan will stream on the OTT platform starting from April 5th. His message read, "Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions of HanuMan premieres April 5th on @DisneyPlusHS… HanuMan on Hotstar."

For the unversed, originally scheduled to stream on Maha Shivaratri, the superhero film experienced a delayed digital release. The Hindi version became available for streaming on JioCinema from March 16, while the Telugu version debuted on Zee5 on March 18. The upcoming release on Disney+ Hotstar in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada marks the third digital release for the film.

About Hanuman

The Telugu blockbuster unfolds its story in the fictional village of Anjanadri and marks the inception of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). Set in the imaginative realm of Anjanadri, the film narrates the tale of Hanumanthu, who is bestowed with the divine power of Lord Hanuman to safeguard the villagers. His journey becomes entwined with a confrontation against Michael, catalyzed by his encounter with a mystical gem.

HanuMan was officially announced in May 2021, with filming commencing on June 25, 2021, in Hyderabad and wrapping up by mid-April 2023. The movie features music by GowraHari.
