The Indian Telugu thriller movie HanuMan hit the theatres on January 12, 2024. With earnings surpassing ₹350 crore (equivalent to US$44 million), the movie has secured its position as the second highest-grossing Indian film of 2024, the top-grossing Telugu film of the year, and ranks eighth among the highest-grossing Telugu films globally. However, months after its theatrical release, Hanuman is currently streaming on OTT.

After a considerable period of anticipation, the Telugu rendition of the movie unexpectedly made its debut on ZEE5 without any prior notification, catching audiences off guard. Its sudden appearance on the OTT platform sparked immense interest, accumulating over 100 million minutes of streaming within a mere fraction of the day. The momentum hasn't slowed down for HanuMan as it continues to amass a substantial viewership on the digital platform. 

The latest figures indicate an impressive 207 million streaming minutes in just five days, marking a remarkable achievement. This superhero flick, starring Teja Sajja in the protagonist's role and helmed by Prasanth Varma, is poised to break even more records in the digital realm, further solidifying its status as a blockbuster.

About Hanuman

The story of Telugu hit movie unfolds in the make-believe village of Anjanadri and marks the inception of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). In this imaginary setting of Anjanadri, the film delves into the tale of Hanumanthu, who receives the divine power of Lord Hanuman to protect the villagers. His journey intertwines with a confrontation against Michael, triggered by his encounter with a mystical gem.
