K pop girl group BLACKPINK has successfully completed its 7 years in the industry. The band consists of four members- Jisoo, Lisa, Rose and Jennie. Over the years, BLACKPINK’s music videos and songs have broken several records on YouTube and other platforms. For example, their song "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" became the most-viewed music video by a K-pop group on YouTube at the time. In addition, they have the Blinks, a group of passionately devoted fans, and it is not surprising that major marketers have approached them.

On Monday BLACKPINK’s agency, YG Entertainment took to its official X handle and wished the band ‘Happy 7th Anniversary’. The agency tweeted, “Happy #BLACKPINK 7th Anniversary #블랙핑크 #20230808 #BLACKPINK7thANNIVERSARY #7YEARSWITHBLINKS #YG.”

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s fans, popularly known as BLINKS, also wished their favourite K-pop group on their special day. Check the reactions below:

Blackpink Completes 7 Years

With its four members, Lisa, Jennie, Rose, and Jisoo, the girl band debuted in 2016. Before they made their musical debut, the four K-Pop stars underwent four years of training. The 7-Year Curse is well-known to many K-Pop fans, but others may not be as acquainted. For those who are unaware, the majority of K-Pop idols sign a seven-year contract with their agencies in order to form a group. Unfortunately, a lot of them break up soon after the contract expires because they do not honor it.

But, Rose had recently clarified, "thank you for waiting patiently for us & thank you for supporting our music for the past 4 years (Lisa: 7 years) cuz BLACKPINK isn’t going anywhere! we love you so much." It means Blackpink is not going anywhere and will continue to entertain.
