With the changing times and advancements in digital animation, the setting has been updated, and the students of Class 5-3 have been given a modern update. Please look forward to a completely new look while retaining all the charm of Nube."

For the unversed, 'Hell Teachers Nube' will be based on the 'Jigoku Sensei Nūbē' manga series that was published from 1993 to 1999. It revolves around Meisuke Nueno aka Nube, who is a homeroom teacher for Class 5–3 at Dōmori Elementary. Apart from being a teacher, he is also an exorcist and protects his town from supernatural threats. He gets his powers from a powerful demon sealed in his left hand—a technique he calls the Demon's Hand.

An anime television series was also released in 1996 which was based on the manga. Later, three movies and three original video animation (OVA) episodes were released as well due to the success of the 'Jigoku Sensei Nūbē' anime television series.

From 2007 to 2011, a spin-off story was released which focused on Izuna Hazuki. According to reports, the manga and its spin-offs have sold over 29 million copies as of 2024.
