Hi Nanna Box Office Collection Day 1: Nani and Mrunal Thakur-led Telugu drama 'Hi Nanna' has finally hit the theatres and has been receiving a lot of love from the audience and critics. The movie revolves around a pure bond between a father and his daughter and how their lives take a turn when the woman he loves marries someone else. 'Hi Nanna' created a lot of excitement among the audience ahead of its release and has now opened to decent numbers at the box office.

According to the website Sacnilk, 'Hi Nanna' collected Rs 6.10 crore on day 1 as per early estimates. The movie is expected to perform better on the weekends due to good reviews.

'Hi Nanna' also stars Kiara Khanna, Nassar, Jayaram, Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Angad Bedi, Viraj Ashwin and Shruti Haasan. According to reports, the OTT rights of 'Hi Nanna' have been bought by Netflix for 37 crores. The movies usually release on OTT platforms 45-60 days after their theatrical run. It can be expected that 'Hi Nanna' will start streaming by January or February 2024.

In an interview with 123telugu.com, Mrunal Thakur talked about her decision to work in 'Hi Nanna' after the success of 'Sita Ramam'. "After Sita Ramam, the audience wanted to see me in diverse roles. I focused on roles that are close to my heart. Hi Nanna has a beautiful story. I believe audiences will fall in love with the characters of Viraj and Yashna," she said.

While speaking to 123telugu.com, Nani talked about the storyline of 'Hi Nanna'. He said, "Hi Nanna is an emotional story with a fresh touch. Numerous moments within the film will take the audience on an emotional journey, offering a distinctive experience through portraying the father-daughter bond and more. I’m confident that everyone will find it thoroughly enjoyable."

He further talked about his experience of working with debutant director Shouryuv and said, "It’s not about whether the director is an enthusiastic newcomer or an expert. My decision is solely based on the quality of the narration and my personal connection to it. Shouryuv’s storytelling compelled me to accept the film swiftly, and I’m delighted with the outcome."

On the work front, Mrunal Thakur was recently seen in Prime Video film 'Pippa' along with Ishaan Khatter. She will be next seen in 'Family Star' and 'Pooja Meri Jaan'. Nani was last seen in 'Dasara' along with Keerthy Suresh. He will next star in ' Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' which will release in 2024.
