Rapper Honey Singh recently found himself at the centre of a controversy after his video from his recent Delhi concert went viral on social media. A clip from the event, which showed him making a sexually explicit comment, quickly circulated online, triggering criticism and outrage across platforms. Amid the harsh backlash, Honey Singh has now issued a video statement addressing the major controversy over his remarks. He apologised to those who felt offended by his words, emphasising his intentions were not to hurt or offend anyone.

Honey Singh Apologies For ‘Gaadi Mein S*X Karo’ Remark

Taking to Instagram, Honey went live on Thursday evening and shared his side of the story and what actually happened. In the video, he was heard saying, “Namaskar, Sat Sri Akal! I’ve come to talk to you all about something. A video of mine has been going viral on Instagram since morning, edited in a way that’s offended many people. I want to tell you the whole story. I sincerely regret the manner in which my words were conveyed and the objectionable views that have arisen because of it. My intention was never to hurt, insult, or offend anyone. A few days prior to the incident, I had interactions with leading gynaecologist and sexologist who shared about the rising concerns of sexually transmitted diseases among the younger generation due to unprotected sex. Further explaining the scenario, the rapper shared, "While being a guest at the show of Nanku and Karun, and seeing a large number of Gen Z in the audience, I tried to convey a message about the importance of protection in a language which they would refer to, which is used in OTT content and movies they watch. However, I deeply regret that the way I expressed this message was inappropriate and not acceptable to many."

Offering his apology, Honey Singh added, "I offer my heartfelt apologies to everyone who felt hurt or disrespected. Going forward, I assure you that I will be far more mindful and responsible in my words and actions."

What Honey Singh Said At Delhi Concert?

In the widely spread viral video, Honey Singh was seen addressing the crowd while commenting on Delhi’s cold weather. He said, "Dilli ki thand! Isme na gaadi mein s*x mein bada maza aata hai, itni thand mein. Gaadi mein sex karo, Dilli ki thand mein. Use condoms guys, please. Play safe!” These remarks were made during the live show, quickly went viral, sparking heated debate online.
