It has been nearly a year since Hyeri’s cryptic Instagram post about Ryu Jun Yeol and Han So Hee stirred up controversy, yet the topic unexpectedly resurfaced during her recent appearance on Coupang Play’s variety show Office Workers. Despite her attempts to steer clear, she found herself at the centre of an awkward moment when the cast members subtly referenced her past social media post.
The controversy began when Hyeri shared an Instagram story with the caption “Interesting” right after dating rumours between her ex-boyfriend, Ryu Jun Yeol and actress Han So Hee emerged. This seemingly simple word fueled widespread speculation, eventually leading to Han So Hee publicly calling out Hyeri. The situation escalated, and just days after confirming their relationship, Ryu Jun Yeol and Han So Hee broke up. Since then, Hyeri has remained largely silent on the issue—until now.

During the Office Workers episode, the cast was discussing drunken social media posts when Hyeri firmly stated that she had never uploaded anything under the influence. Comedian Kim Won Hoon seized the opportunity to tease her, saying, “That thing you did while completely sober was really ‘interesting,’” directly referencing her past Instagram story. The atmosphere in the room instantly turned tense, with the cast exchanging awkward glances.
Shin Dong Yup attempted to lighten the mood by joking, “Maybe we should refrain from saying ‘interesting’? Is that okay?” Hyeri, keeping her composure, responded coldly, “It’ll be good to say ‘interesting’ only when something is actually interesting. Right now, it’s not.”

Despite the cast's efforts to move on, Kim Won Hoon continued pressing, asking whether her agency had called her after the post. Unable to contain her amusement, Hyeri burst into laughter but deflected the question by pretending not to know which situation he was referring to. When Kim tried to continue the joke, Hyeri shut him down, bluntly asking, “How old are you? You seem so tactless.” Meanwhile, Office Workers airs new episodes every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM KST (5:30 PM IST).
