Imran Khan made his acting debut in 2008 with the film 'Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na,' which was a critical and commercial success, earning him a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Imran gained further recognition for his performances in movies like 'I Hate Luv Storys,' 'Delhi Belly,' and 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.' Despite his initial success, Imran gradually stepped away from acting and has been relatively inactive in the film industry in recent years. However, he continues to attract attention through occasional interviews and public appearances.
In a recent interview, Imran disclosed that about a decade ago, he was more cautious because the media had a 'narrow' perspective, often distorting his remarks to create sensationalism. Recalling an incident, Imran said that while promoting Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola with Anushka Sharma, he was asked about latter's bikini. "We perceived the Matru…as an issue-based film. I was thrown into a room full of people from the press and suddenly, someone asked me, ‘Is film mein Anushka ji ne two-piece bikini pehni hai. Iske baare mein aap kya kahenge? (What do you think of Anushka wearing a two-piece bikini?)’ It was horribly uncomfortable. I thought, 'Main Kya Kahoon? (What do I say now?),'" he told India Today.
"They would ask stuff like, 'Aap ke mamu ne yeh film dekhi hai, unka kya kehna hai? (Did your uncle see the film? What does he think of it?)' They wanted to somehow get the mention of another famous person," the actor added.

Meanwhile, Imran comes from a prominent Bollywood family, being the nephew of actor Aamir Khan and director-producer Mansoor Khan. His acting career saw highs and lows, with some successful films and others that didn't perform well at the box office. Imran is reportedly gearing up for a significant comeback to Bollywood after a hiatus of nine years, marking a pivotal moment in his career.
