Indian 2 Box Office Collection Day 4: Despite a slight drop in collections, Kamal Haasan starrer continues to perform well at the box office. The film, directed by Shankar, achieved the highest opening for a Tamil film in India this year, grossing over Rs 25 crore nett on its first day. Indian 2, the sequel to the 1996 hit Indian, sees Kamal Haasan reprising his role as Senapathy, a vigilante with unique methods to combat corruption. The film started strong in both Tamil and Telugu markets, although its Hindi collections have been more modest.
Despite facing competition from Akshay Kumar's Sarfira, Indian 2 has earned exceptionally well, especially in the first three days of its release. The film's performance at the ticket windows has been impressive, solidifying its status as a major box office success.
Indian 2 Box Office Report:
For the first three days at the box office, Indian 2 earning was Rs 59.15 crore India net. On its fourth day, the film earned around Rs 3.15 crore India net across all languages, bringing the total to Rs 62.3 crore, according to Sacnilk. On Monday, July 15, 2024, Indian 2 saw an overall Tamil occupancy of 16.04%. The breakdown for the day was as follows: morning shows at 12.28%, afternoon shows at 16.43%, evening shows at 17.97%, and night shows at 17.49%. In Mumbai, the occupancy was 12.00%, while the National Capital Region (NCR) had a 16.00% occupancy rate.
Indian 2 Budget
Reportedly one of director Shankar's most ambitious projects, this Tamil-language vigilante action film has a substantial budget of Rs 150 crore.

Released on July 12 and directed by Shankar, Indian 2 features a notable ensemble cast including Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kalidas Jayaram, Gulshan Grover, Nedumudi Venu, Vivek, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Manobala, Vennela Kishore, and Deepa Shankar, among other talented actors.
Co-written by B. Jeyamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu, and Lakshmi Saravana Kumar, the film is a joint production by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies.
