Indian 2 Box Office Collection Day 7: Kamal Haasan's latest film concluded its first week with a significant decline in its numbers. Despite facing consistent drops, the movie showed resilience during weekdays, bolstering its overall success. Directed by Shankar, Indian 2 marked the highest opening for a Tamil film this year, grossing over Rs 25 crore nett on its debut day. This sequel to the 1996 hit Indian sees Kamal Haasan reprising his iconic role as Senapathy, a vigilante crusading against corruption. Although the film experienced a slight downturn in earnings by its seventh day, it has reportedly amassed around Rs 70 crore nett within its first week in theaters, according to Sacnilk.com.

Indian 2 received a great reception at the box office during its initial six days, accruing an estimated Rs 68.45 crore net across India. On its seventh day, early reports suggest the film garnered around Rs 2 crore net from all language versions, bringing its total earnings to approximately Rs 70.45 crore. The film's Tamil version recorded an overall occupancy rate of 11.75% on Thursday, July 18, 2024, with morning shows at 10.36%, afternoon shows at 12.15%, evening shows at 11.19%, and night shows at 13.31%. Meanwhile, the Hindi version of the film achieved an overall occupancy rate of 9.17% on the same day.
Featuring Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Suryah, and Bobby Simha in pivotal roles, the film made a robust debut in Tamil and Telugu markets, while its Hindi earnings remained moderate. Despite facing competition from Akshay Kumar's 'Sarfira,' Indian 2 exhibited strong performance, particularly during its initial three days, affirming its position as a significant hit at the box office.
