Inside Out 2 Box Office Collection India: 'Inside Out' is one of the most popular animated movies by Pixar and Disney and is officially back with its second instalment. The movie also became popular in India and received a good response both in theatres and on OTT. The film franchise revolves around a young girl named Riley and her emotions as they administer her thoughts and actions. 'Inside Out 2' showcases Riley as a teenager and her life becomes more complex after new emotions like anxiety and envy join her old emotions. The movie has been giving tough competition to other theatrical releases in India.

According to the website Sacnilk, 'Inside Out 2' collected Rs 1.5 crore on day 1. The movie witnessed an increase in numbers and earned Rs 3.25 crore on day 3. On day 4, the movie collected Rs 1.37 crore and its total collection now stands at Rs 8.77 crore.

The movie stars Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Diane Lane, and Kyle MacLachlan in the lead roles as they reprise their roles of old emotions. Tony Hale, Liza Lapira, Maya Hawke, Ayo Edebiri, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Paul Walter Hauser, and Kensington Tallman are the new additions to the movie.

While speaking to India Today, Amy Poehler talked about the introduction of anxiety in the movie. She said, "Anxiety brings in a lot of emotions and everyone wishes for it to go away, but it can’t, which is also the theme of the film. You can’t tell it to stop worrying, you can’t try to bypass it. You just have to say hello to it. Make some room for it and be like ‘thank you for service’ and then try to pull it away from the controls before it really makes you freeze.”

She added, "The movie makes you feel vulnerable and joyful in equal measure. If you find yourself getting teary-eyed, you won't be alone. Riley's journey to embracing new emotions hits an emotional nerve on point.”

The movie will release on Disney+ Hotstar after its theatrical run.
